Food Blog Day 6

September 29, 2007

Breakfast yesterday was cranberry juice, and a double americano and a egg bagel from Salvadore Darling.

For lunch Ryan bought me and Jon steak sandwiches from Touet which he promised us the night before when he was trying to set my plastic chair on fire on the bbq.

I went for veggie nachos after work at Sneaky Dees with Nicole and Sarah and had an orange juice. I had a beer at Lee’s Palace later when Songs From A Room played.

I feel like a disgusting person admitting I ate at Sneaky Dees twice in 1 day, but there’s no other kitches open around here at 3am. I had whatever that poached egg thing in the picture there is and some of Adrienne nachos and guac.

Jager Time

September 28, 2007

When I got home from work yesterday, the house across the street had been demolished. It was there in the morning. Kind of strange.

Jon and I went to a party at Extreme Fitness after work. It’s funny. They get you drunk and then try and convince you to sign up for an expensive gym membership. We just went for an hour or so for free food and booze. There were a lot of devastatingly hot girls there. I’m assuming they were all models that were invited/hired, not actually girls who work out there.

This is not one of the devastating girls. But she had a funny outfit on.

We stopped by the Silver Dollar after to see the Golden Hands Before God but it turns out they weren’t playing until midnight. I had the best of intentions of coming back after the Jager party but I got too drunk and didn’t leave there until 3am.

On our way to the Jager party we saw a bunch of fire trucks around Kensington Market. It was forshadowing of what would happen later.

Nick decided he didn’t want to come to the party, and Jon hadn’t RSVPed so he was Nick.

The Lizard guy was there and stuck a bunch of things like scissors and a corkscrew in his nose.

Jon and I met up with Ryan at my house after and he insisted on setting my toaster oven and one of our chairs on fire. I made him promise to buy me and Jon lunch and to replace everything he burned. And we put firecrackers in the bbq. One of the neighbors called 911 and the fire department and police showed up.

I got a free watch at the party.

Food Blog Day 5

September 28, 2007

Yesterday was a good food day. I’ll post another blog about the days events later. This one is about food!

My breakfast was a double Americano and lox, cream cheese and capers on a toasted bagel from Salvadore Darling. A couple hours later we got a fruit basket from our former intern delivered to our office. The chocolate covered banana chunks on a stick were the best.

For lunch I had chicken currie pad thai from Thai Spring Roll. It’s not that cheap, and it’s usually good but yesterday it was really bland. I had a red bull later.

That night Jon and I went to a party around 7:00 at Extreme Fitness on Richmond. I had 3 canadian club and cokes. All freeeeee. I did not sign up for a gym membership.

I also got a salad there. I think there was feta cheese and croutons on there. We stopped by the Silver Dollar after and had a couple of beers that I didn’t get pictures of. Then we went down the street to a Jagermeister party. They had a bunch of free food there like that fruit dessert tray there.

I ate a bunch of the food they had being carried around on trays and had 4 more beers and I think 5 or 6 shots of jager.

We came back to my house for a little bit later and I had an ice cream cone from 7-11 at 4am. So it’s sort of Friday since it’s past midnight, but I hadn’t slept yet and I don’t want to make it my breakfast today.

Food Blog Day 4

September 27, 2007

I’d like to note that I haven’t been taking pictures of my water bottle, which is an old glass Minute Maid cranberry juice bottle that I drink from all day everyday.

Yesterday I had breakfast from Skyline Diner, across the street from our office. Bacon, eggs over easy, hash browns, white toast, and coffee. I ordered brown toast but they always fuck up their orders. It’s only $6, tax included for breakfast before 11, which I think is a good deal, so I never complain. I had a double Americano from Salvadore Darling later.

For lunch I biked over to Liberty Village to Famous BBQ for Chicken Kuma on rice, salad with ranch dressing and cold pasta. Also an amazing deal at $6.88 tax all in.

I had a salad at home when I got home from work and a couple of beers left over from the party the other night.

I got a few boxes of Kashi Go Lean for free in the mail awhile ago as some sort of promotion they were doing. I had some of that with plain yogurt.

I also had my first drink of scotch from my new Salesmans Night Cap scotch glass Adrienne got me a few weeks ago, and then ended my day the way I started; with eggs! 3 hardboiled eggs with sea salt.

Food Blog Day 3

September 26, 2007

Tuesday Sept 25, 2007

I already fucked up and forgot to take a picture of the best looking food I’ve eaten all week. I drew a picture to make up for it. I went for lunch at the Rhino yesterday with Deirdre and had Tilapia with a salad. The salad had onions, lettuce, baby tomatoes and bean sprouts.

I had some trail mix and cranberry juice later. At home I had leftover Chicken Tika Masala Roti from Gandhi’s on Sunday afternoon.

A couple hours later I had some plain yogurt with fresh fruit and steamed some broccoli.
