WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE!??!?!?!?

February 29, 2008

I’ve got a couple favorite sci-fi scenarios to imagine when I’m out after I’m stoned and start drinking a bit. When it’s a slow night, I love pretending I’m in the bar scene in Star Wars where there’s all these aliens playing instruments and smoking opium, but at these open bar parties I end up in at times, the best is Quantum Leap.

In Quantum Leap, Scott Bacula’s character does some time travel experiment and ends up getting stuck in various scenarios in the past, where he has to figure out where he is, when it is, who he is, and what mission he has to accomplish to get sent to the next place. If he doesn’t finish the mission, he’ll be stuck there forever!

Try it tonight.

More Room Pictures

February 28, 2008

I scanned some more pictures. These are from my room at my parents house on Frank Ave in spring of 1996. I was 17 in all these pictures.

A year ago I would never have posted this picture of Matt Beneteau, for fear he’d never speak to me again, but I think his girlfriend will think it’s funny so I can get away with it.

I love the yellow patent leather with fuzzy leopard print lined Docs I had.

Then And Now

February 27, 2008

I took a couple of pictures this weekend that I wanted to match with old pictures from my collection.

The first one is from Wonkavision pictures we took in 1996. Brandon Blanchete was the drummer for most of the shows and recordings we did. I can’t remember the last time I saw him, before Nick and I ran into him as soon as we got into the Loop on Friday night.

The second set starts with a picture of Brayden covered in Cool Whip and cake at my surprise 20th birthday party Stava threw for me in 1998. I think it was Matt Beneteau who got him. I thought it fit well with Jaime starting the cake fight at their wedding on Saturday.

ALF Rocking Out

February 27, 2008

I remember this from when it was on TV. I was a huge ALF fan when I was a kid.

In this episode, ALF writes a song and makes a rock video for Lynn, the daughter in the family to try and win her heart. I love the Stevie Wonder inspired keyboard playing.

(insert name here) thinks he sounds like Iggy Pop. I think my heart and brain would simultaniously explode if I found out it actually was Iggy Pop singing as ALF.

I like the metal version too.

UPDATE:
My friend (insert name here) would like the world to know that not only does he think Alf sings like Iggy Pop, but it was he who sent me these links. HAIL (insert name here)!

Wedding Photos

February 26, 2008

I took over 800 photos for Jaime and Brayden’s wedding, so I’m tired of going through them. This is what I have for now. I will post more on my facebook later.

The girls got their hair done around 11am. They decided to keep it to drinking coffee instead of booze so they wouldn’t lose their minds by the time they got to the 7:00 ceremony.

I went to the DMV to meet Brayden and Dustin getting the plates for the van they’d just bought.

Then to Long and MacQuade to pick up sound equipment.

Evil Dead the Musical and the Jealous Quarrels

February 26, 2008

I went to see Evil Dead the Musical last night with Adrienne and some guys from work. It was funny and definitely worth seeing. The guy who plays Ash looks like Bruce Campbell.

I’ll have some pictures from Brayden and Jaime’s wedding up later tonight or tomorrow.
