The Irish Loop

Adrienne and I went out for dinner last night, had a quiet drink at the Victory Bar down the street and were in bed by midnight.

We picked up our rental car this morning, and went straight to Signal Hill, where the first transatlantic wireless radio signal transmission EVER was received by Guglielmo Marconi on December 12th, 1901! The pic is of me standing on the spot where the plaque is, and Adrienne is listening to what the morse code signal would’ve sounded like. It was very windy.

We spent the rest of the afternoon driving around the Irish Loop, along the coast south of St Johns. It took us about 6 hours and we saw some beautiful scenery.
